6/28/06 - Taming Light.com facelift!
After a year of huge ups and downs in 2004, and about a year of mental recovery in 05, I'm back, with a new site, some new work and some new announcements!

What's in a name?
When my mom wed my stepfather, he adopted me through the courts at the age of 7. As a result of this court adoption, my birth name was changed to Steinman. For years, I have always wanted to go back to my original name, and now I have...
In 2004, he has a name, that name is Robert Pauls... (I mean) Robert MacNeil. Sorry for any confusion!

9/5/04 - Ayo... ("I do" in Armenian)
At least, that's what they told me...On Sept., 5th 2004, my then girlfriend tied a noose around my neck and became my wife. Just kidding, honey! :) Deana and I celebrated a beautiful Armenian ceremony, then drank like Irishmen at the reception, even though my family is mostly Italian!

JoAnn Steinman 1954-2004
After dealing with the loss of her sister, my Aunt Sissy in 2004 and Sissy's daughter Arlene in 2003 (both to cancer) on 12/6/04 my Mom JoAnn, also lost her battle to cancer. She was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2001 and fought it for 3 tough years. She will be sorely missed, as she was a great mom to both my sister Jodi and I. She was also one of the biggest supporters of my artistic work!
An artist herself, she gave up her dreams of becoming a fashion designer to raise my sister and I, and struggled for a number of years to give us the best she could offer. She chose to live vicariously through me and my career, so I dedicate anything I have done or will do in my artistic future to her and her missed opportunity. She selflessly gave up her life so I could live mine, and for that, I will be forever grateful. I write this, not for sympathy, but so I never forget the huge impact she had on me. In her honor and memory I am producing an illustrated children's book that is based loosely on her life.
